More East playoff watch info:

Five teams are in between the last-spot-in-the-playoffs Celtics and the Wizards, with 5 games seperating them. 32 games left for the Wizards.

Here's what's really funny. The West is SOOO much better than the East. Examples:

The Celtics have the 8th place spot in the playoffs with a winning percentage of .426. The Nuggets hold eighth place in the West with a winning percentage of .574. Of the six teams in the West who aren't currently in the top eight, FIVE of them have a better record than the Celtics and would make the playoffs if they were in the East, INCLUDING the CLIPPERS. The Suns are the worst team in the West, and they still have a better record than three teams in the East (including the Wizards...wow, they're bad!).

Actually, of the 29 teams, the Celtics are in TWENTY FIRST place. And they're currently holding the 8th spot in the playoffs. That is SAD.

So ignore the previous post.

Here's the real deal in the East:

Celtics hold the last playoff spot with a 23-29 record
76ers and Heat are right behind them with 21-31.
Cavs following them with 19-32
The Hawks are the last before the Wizards at 17-35.
The Wiz are 16-33.

Celtics are only 5.5 games ahead, 76ers and Heat are 3.5, Cavs are 2.5, and Hawks are 2 games ahead. So 33 games left in the season. Interesting...
