Wow, lots of news today. First, looks like the sniper has been caught. The best part about it is that the "truck driver who led police to suspects says he'll split any reward with victims' families." That's just awesome. Way to be a decent human being.

In other news, G-money made The Breeze! Yes, The Breeze did a full page article on the Marching Royal Dukes, with a whole lot of quotes by yours truly. Of course, most of the quotes were taken out of context and way too paraphrased so it made me sound like a total tool. But hey, publicity is publicity. Right. I still feel like a giant tool.

So it seems the sniper has decided to strike again. He's back to Maryland. The attack was reported at 5:56AM. While this would seem to be out of sync with Jason's profile of the guy, I wouldn't say that. Maybe he just got off work a little early? Now, this hasn't been positively linked with the sniper, of course, but I don't think there are too many doubts about it. At least he hasn't actually been killing anyone recently. You hear that sniper? You're not killing anybody anymore, and no one is impressed. Go back to your hole.

I added a few more links under the links section, and I got a few ideas as to some things to add to this content wise, but I'm not sure if I'm actually going to be doing anything about them or not. We'll see. Oh, and yesterday's strip of Sinfest really cracked me up. Not sure why.

I get to drive to school today! Woo hoo!

Ooooo, lots of news today!

First off, my schedule for next semester might actually, possibly, not be sucky. This is all assuming I can do an independent study with the Russian department, since they are not offering the course I need. Blah.

Second, my car is fixed! Yes, after exactly 247 hours of work, she has been fixed. Well, they've had her for 247 hours. One can only hope it didn't actually take that much time to fix.

Third, I have finally figured out what the greatest book in the history of the known world is. This should be no surprise to some people... ;o)

So this weekend was fun. Parade of Champions was a blast, and we made a lot of high schoolers very happy. Go us. On friday, I got to meet Larry Clark, who writes pretty much all of our music. It's some good music, but, um, slightly repetitive shall we say? Saturday night I went to a party and it got interrupted by the police. It was rather amusing to see a bunch of drunk people hiding their beers under couches. Or giving it to me since I'm legal.

However, the single most exciting thing that happened recently is Jason linking me on his website. Go Jason!

Now I just need to make this place not suck...

Steven Toyota has the worst service department I have ever seen. The part to my car is still not in, and my car is still not fixed. As of the posting of this message, Steven Toyota has had my car for 239 hours. Just one hour shy of TEN DAYS. That's a damn long time to fix a car. Feel free to email Steven Toyota and tell them they suck.

Well, I spent a long time making a fun action packed update, and of course the stupid thing timed out so I lost it all. Blah, I'll redo it in the morning. I'm tired.

Well, technically it's Fall Break. What is Fall Break you ask? This is Fall Break. As always...

NEWS FLASH!!!!

Jenny is cute!

Oh wait, that's not news, we knew that already.

Crossword Puzzle Controversy

The crossword puzzle in The Breeze (JMU's student-run newspaper) on Monday was all messed up. The clues did not match up with the diagram. And the answers to the clues were given in the Previous Puzzle's Answer section. This controversy sparked an outrage from crossword puzzle enthusiasts all over campus. A lot of it came from the music lounge, I think. What's even funnier is this:

"Never before have we gotten four darts about the same one problem in an article, yet we received just that, four angry darts about the mismatching clues and answer boxes in the Oct. 10 crossword." [note that it was actually Monday the 14th, but whatever]

Four darts. Ha! Crossword puzzlers of the world unite!

So my car died last Thursday night. Friday morning I got it towed to Steven Toyota, the only place in town that is AAA certified. They said that my alternator needed to be replaced (which is exactly what Sean said, because he is an automobile genius), and that it would cost around $550. Total crap. But whatever. So I am waiting to hear from them about the status of the car, and they never call. So I call Tuesday morning, and they said the part hadn't come in yet, but should get here today. Okay...and I don't hear from them again. So I call this morning and they said that the part was lost, and they would call the place up in Winchester to see if they could track it. Winchester is only an hour away. Why does it take nearly a week to get the stupid part in? So I just called them now, and they said the part should be in tomorrow. That's just great. The part should be in tomorrow. Right.

Moral of the story? Steven Toyota sucks.
