Kubrick and the Sexiest Man in Yoga

What a wonderful day.
I saw A Clockwork Orange last night. It was very...Kubrick. It is supposed to be "shocking", which it is, but probably not as shocking as it was back in 1972. I suppose we've been more desensitized since then. At any rate, it was interesting, in a disturbing, macabre sort of way. The rape scenes did make me particularly uncomfortable. You know, all misgivings about the death penalty aside, I think we should take a clue from David Weber and make Rape a capital crime.
Anyway, I'm a little interested in reading about Kubrick's life. He has to have had some pretty messed up things happen to him to make such bizarre movies. I will investigate this further.
